I am here before you today not as a candidate but as your friend, a friend who understands your struggles. I, myself as a Filipino, experienced the same battles. As a child, I experienced working and going to school at the same time in order to help my family. I would walk to school wearing my tattered uniform and on an empty stomach, feeling helpless and starving.
This is what poverty is like and I want to do something to stop this devastating condition that our country is facing. According to a report last 2018, 21.6% of the country’s population lives below the national poverty line which means that a lot of us are suffering from poverty and feels the same pain that I felt as a child. We can’t just stand watching this devastating condition eat our country, we need to do something. This is the reason why I, Han Paras, will run for president.
Together, we will make this country a better place. We will solve this problem by working together on the Construct, construct, construct project which will transfer the Build, build, build funds to improve the lifestyle of every Filipino. Instead of spending the fund first on beautification of roads and infrastructures. The funds will first address the needs of the people which would include the construction of shelters, construction of basic education and the construction of livelihood. This project will construct our basic needs. It will not only focus on the outward appearance of the country but on us, the foundation of democracy. The people who will build this nation and who will achieve the greater good not just for ourselves but also for the future generations to come.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I stand here today not just as your president but as a person who wants to see change in this country and the lives of every citizen living in it. I am Han Paras for President.
