Ladies and Gentlemen.
Thank you for the warm welcome and support you have bestowed upon me. For years, our motherland, has been the subject of many terrible ordeals. Everyone has lost and gained something out of all these experiences. Everyone was and still is affected, most especially the children, our hope and our future. The most practical way we can equip our children for the world ahead is to give them the best education we can afford. Luckily for the elite, they can afford to bring their children to universities in other countries. We hate to admit it, but our education system here in the Philippines is problematic. Not only do we lack the basic educational needs, but the system itself is unstable. If I were to become president, I would greatly focus my efforts in improving the state of our public schools, so as to cater to the needs of the children from less fortunate families. As of 2018, 48% of the population, which is almost equivalent to 11.1 million Filipinos are poverty stricken, more than half of which are children. By focusing more of our funds and efforts in improving the state of our public schools, we would help more children become literate and academically competitive.
We Filipinos are one of the most diverse people in the world. We may be divided by regions, social statuses, cultures, and religions, but we are united by a common goal, to build a better future for generations to come.
Each contribution is vital for the advancement of our country. Therefore we must all take part. The improvement of our education system will start with us voting for the right people. There is no time to waste. Let us start now.
